  1. No erratic behavior. They simply stopped. As you all know, the porsche is not the easiest machine for DIY. I have dabbled with a few things, the MAF etc, but have never got up to look at the relays and stuff. Are they tricky to get to, or do I need any special tools Thanks
  2. Thanks a lot. Is there anythin in particular that you think I should be looking for. Burnt out or anything ?
  3. I'm a bit of a novice, so forgive my ignorance, but is the flasher relay in the same place as the fuses ? Thanks again <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  4. The fuses are fine. What would you suggest next ? Thanks a lot
  5. I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on this subject, but my turn signals and hazards have stopped working. Everything else in the car is good, lights, other electrics etc. Anyone recommend where I should start looking for the problem. Thanks
  6. On my 2000 Carrera, the warning light at the end of the temperature gauge starts flashing, as if the engine is ready to overheat. However, this happens after only 5 or 10 minutes in the car, and the temperature gauge needle has not even moved half way. Any ideas was to why or what this is. There are no other warning lights and no check engine warning signs or anything. Thanks
  7. Is this OBD11 error code serious for my 99 Carrera 3.2 Coupe ? Should I cease driving it, and take it in for service immediately ? Thanks :(
  8. I have seen on various forums here, that a fuel injector cleaner is highly recommended. Is there any specific make etc etc that is recommended for a 99 Carrera 3.2 Coupe. ? Thanks
  9. A follow up regarding the CEL light on my 1999 Carrera. I found an AutoZone in my city, and they ran an OBD II Scan for me. It came up with error code P1531. I checked out alldatadiy.com and it lists the fault as : Camshaft Adjustment, Bank 1 Function - To increase torque and improve cylinder charging, the engine is equipped with two VarioCam actuators I am just starting to learn about the Porsche engine, so is there anyone out there who knows how serious a problem this is ? and what steps I should take Thanks :help:
  10. Anyone in the Chicago area and know of an Auto store that has an OBDII scan tool and will scan the codes for me. Thanks a million Loren and Mitty for your replies so far !!
  11. I am new to both Porsche ownership and this forum, so please forgive my apparent ignorance to both. I have a 1999 911 Carrera and the check engine light has just come on. In anyones experience, what are the most common reasons for this light to come on. Could it be the spark plugs or maybe something a little more serious concerning the catalytic converter Thanks
