  1. Ok, this was alarming. Today I had my car parked outside my gym while I worked out. During this time a rain storm passed by. When I went out to pull my TT out of the parking space, lost power steering again for about 10 seconds, then squeek, then all was fine. Very concerning to have this happen just during rain! This does not seem right and seems very dangerous. Since numerous TT owners are having this issue, how does one notify Porsche AG so it can be corrected?
  2. Ah Ha! Thank you - that makes sense. No I was not washing the engine bay, but did get a new hose nozzle which puts out alot more water. I will be more careful with the water on the back next time (tomorrow!).
  3. I was washing my new 997TT today and had a strange thing happen that I am hoping you can help me answer. While still wet, I turned on my car to pull it into the garage to dry it out of the sun. I turned on the car and started to drive and the steering wheel was very hard to turn - just like when the car is turned off. Then there was a loud squeel. It only lasted maybe ten seconds and then the steering was back to normal. Drove it later and no issue. I had heard this squeel once before when I washed it also. I posted this on 6speed just awhile ago and several others are having this problem in the rain or after washing. Obviously I don't want to lose my steering capabilities on a rainy day, that would be very dangerous. I have not posted much hear, but read your threads often. You guys are real experts on stuff like this and though you might have some advise to offer. Thank you.
