  1. Thanks Loren, I just fixed knocking Avalon's engine, it cost me about $100 in parts. I was hoping to spend that kind of money for Boxster engine, definitely not 11K or 4K. Do you fix engines?

  3. I am thinking about buying Boxter with bad engine so I begun getting info about it. I was told that overheated engines are not repairable and for 11K new engine can be bought from dealer. Short block from dealer is 3900 (maybe just crankcase w/o cylinders. Another thing engines are overheated not because of usual reasons (antifreeze, fan etc) Cylinders are separated from crank case for no reason beside bad engine design. Guy was selling 97 Boxter for 4500 which doesn't sound bad. Is there repair manual online to download? Can you guys post engine parts diagram so I can see how to fix it? Thanks.
