  1. I recently purchased the Porsche "Electronic Logbook" CD-ROM ( 997.642.148.02 ) , which is the Windows software that allows you to view the *.bin files you can upload (if you have that option enabled) from the PCM through the IR port. When installing this factory software on my PC, my antivirus software (AVG) flagged one of the installed files (PorscheConfiguration.exe) as a potential virus (Win32/Heur) . I tested it on another system with different antivirus software (McAfee),..it also flagged it as suspicious. Next , I uploaded the file to a website ( http://www.virustotal.com ) that does online "virus scanning" of a file, using 39 different "common software" packages. 11 of those detected something unusual in that file. Anyone else have a similar issue? Is this a real problem, or just some false positive. I purchased the CD from a Porsche dealer, it was new, sealed, with all the requisite Porsche QA stickers on it.
  2. Sounds like you have the "logbook" feature, and are linking to the PCM via the IR port.
  3. What are the mechanical differences in these three Gen1 turbo models? In the Owners manual that came with the Cayenne Turbo S (08/06 build date), on page 336 , it lists the Turbo HP at 450(331KW), and the "Increased performance Cayenne Turbo at 500HP(368KW). No mention of 520HP in the manual ?
  4. My co-worker's Landrover LR3 had the same issue, rat / mouse chewed through the undercarriage wiring when it was only a few months old. Something about a glycol based lubricant (sweet)
