  1. Once you dive in this is a lot easier to fix than you might think. I got all the parts I needed from Sunset Imports in Oregon, great service and prices. http://www.sunsetimports.com/porscheatcost.php Sounds like the passenger side cable has stripped. You will find all the part #s and pictures you need already in this forum. Michael
  2. I have the same problem, it started two weeks ago and I haven't had time to resolve it. :help:
  3. Unfortunately I am a few months past my warranty expiring so no I do not have a warranty. I will take a look at it as soon as I can and post my findings. Thanks for your help!
  4. My fiance took the car (2001 Boxster) shopping with her mother a few days before our wedding (9/18) and called me hysterical that the top was broken . I can't blame her, it probably would have broken on me sooner than later. We are back from the honeymoon and now it's time to deal with fixing it. Anyways, the top will not go down, it is stuck in the closed position. It appears that the issue is with the right side since the left side will attempt to open. In my heated frustration upon returning home I made the mistake of trying twice to open the top and inspect under the clamshell, I can only hope that I have not tweaked it. Some questions: 1) I read that Mark was going to develop a DVD, is that available now? If so, where and how much? 2) I am in Los Angeles, is there anyone local that has some experience with this repair? If not then I'd even be willing to drive to the Bay Area to get some help since I don't have a lot of time to fiddle with this. 3) I read that the parts can be ordered from a place in Oregon, can someone provide me with a URL, phone number or address to contact them? Thanks!
