  1. Well, in hindsight, after my last tyre detail re-update (!), the pressure monitoring bit of the system did start working within yards, showing the pressure in all four tyres. However, the warning symbol is staying on with a message saying TMC Inactive, which apparently indicates a fault and that the deflation warning bit will not be operative.
  2. Yes, Ive done that - re-input the wheel data. It appears that the monitoring of pressures is working OK but the warning system for notifying pressure loss or deflation is inactive. Thanks for the input, in any case.
  3. The car will be 2 years old next month, wouldn't the batteries last a bit longer than that?
  4. Thank you for that. I took the car for a 30mile run earlier. The tyre pressures are showing up fine on the display, but I still get messages that say: Wheel change? Update data. (Or words to that effect) and TMC Inactive. The data is all correct which is why, I guess, the pressure monitoring shows. The other message, according to the handbook, means TPMS is 'faulty', though for the life of me I can't see how I could have made it so. I think that the monitoring part is working but not the puncture alert part. Any further advice would be much appreciated.
  5. I wonder if anyone can tell me how long ot might take the TPMS system to learn when the system has changed because of a wheel change? The handbook just says ' a certain amount of time, driving' but doen't quantify that. 5miles? 10, more? Any help appreciated.
