  1. I recently purchased a 2000 Carrera 2 with 61,500 miles on it. I have driven the car for a little over 1,000 miles in past 4 months. In early April the main crank bearing failed. I have an extended warranty that covers such mechanical breakdown, but the Warranty Co are refusing to pay for the repair, saying it's a "pre existing condition". I don't understand how they can say this when the car drove perfect right up to time it failed. However, I purchased the warranty after owning the car a few months, (est'd 62,500) and the deffect occurred only a few weeks later (62,650). Talk about bad timing and very bad luck! The Inspector who has looked at the engine (removed from car and broken open), considers it to be in great shape (for age/mileage) and clearly was not driven with the deffect (!!??). The car was driving well right up to when I heard the "clank clank" in the engine, when I immediately turned it off and called the recovery truck. My question is this: What do I do if the warranty company some how wiggles out of covering the repair, what recourse do I have? Legal action against Warranty Co. for breach of contract/fraud, Look to the dealer I bought car from for help? Ask N America Porsche for assistance? Other solution?
