  1. The lowered seat option on 996, is not lowered seatrails. It is infact less padding in the seat bottom. To my knownledge this option was not available on the 986. I'm 6.1 and I have the same issues. I can't get enough leg room which results in my right hand hitting my right knee, if i keep 3 and 9 o'clock grip through tight turns. I am also alarmingly close to the rollbars. On "high hair" days my hair also touch the roof lining, when I have the hardtop fitted. (Admittedliy I do have high hair:) I think we have to face the fact that Porsche built this car for women ;)
  2. I just did an install with your kit and I am very pleased. Since I bought a kenwood, the facia plate was a little roomy. I bought some leather which I fixed with double sided tape. Not happy with the top left, and bottom right corner, so I will likely re-do it. But i like the look and feel of it.
  3. Softtail: Could this be what you are looking for ? http://tinyurl.com/3hclwg (page is translated from Norwegian with google translate)
  4. I spoke to a friend that has built his boxster from the ground up after a wreck. He told med there was adjustment screws to allow adjustment in all four corners of the engine lid. To allow adjustment of the height of the folded top, and the lid over the folded top. Could it be that the top, and the lid is higher on one side of the car thus preventing the top from fitting properly ? I haven't looked at this myself, just re-telling what I've been told
  5. First just want to say thank you to the aerodynamics guys. I stumbled onto this post looking to buy the Cayman look rear spoiler. You guys changed my mind. I now remember reading about this lift problem on the 1999 onwards Audi TT, wich has a similar bodyshape to the Boxster. They actually recalled alot of TT's here in europe and retrofitted small spoilers. The reason was that a significant number of TT's achieved lift-off. I checked my manual, And it states that if the spoiler malfunction light is on, then it will have to be taken into consideration, and adjust speed accordingly. As I live 6 hours drive away from the nearest Autobahn with no speed limit, where one can coast along at 125 mph + for hour after hour, I will happily keep my stock spoiler in place. Even if it is ugly IMO.
