  1. I just found this article by googleing "how do I fix a mas sensor problem on a 996 911" and it litterally saved me $550.00. I spent a wopping 5 minutes taking the part out. 2 screws (dealer claims 1.5 hours labor "freakin crooks") and cleaning the part with electrical device cleaner you can pick up at stapples or office depot. Simply clean the part, reinstall, unplug battery for 10 minutes to reset, reconnect the battery cable and whala "no more CeL prob." if the part is truly damaged then by all means relplace and "do it yourself" I could teach my 9 year old son to do it. Try this method before you spend the $160-$345 for the part. Hope this helps you as much as it helped me.
  2. Seems like an easy do it yourself fix for the mechanically inclined individual...Has anyone done this and if so could you describe the process.
