  1. would you consider this car totaled? if not what im i lookin at for repairs?
  2. I feel like an idiot. So I filled her up and no more light. I guess after the car warms up the coolant expands and thats why when I restart, it doesn't blink anymore. Now only if I can get rid of the CEL. Thanks for the help guys.
  3. can anyone give me some insight on this? my teperature light blinks red on cold starts. im assuming something is not working to blow air into the engine to help warm it up. if i restart the engine after the car has been warmed up, the blinking stops. any suggestions on what needs to be done to fix this? and what about costs?
  4. I recently had a secondary air injection problem, the engine light came back on and now I have the codes P1124 and P1126. I was also told that the car is now running lean. Anyone have some insight on this? I admit, I just got this car (97 boxster, 99 motor installed) and I don't know sh*t about it. The mechanic told me the car is running lean and could be a MAF problem. But he also said he wants to check for vacuum leaks. If it is the MAF anyone now where I can get a good price on them?, I know the price went up again recently. Also, whats the diff between the normal sensor and the e-accelerator? Is that for the S? Sorry, like I said, I'm a clueless newbie.
  5. I spoke w/another shop and they said that a previous customer had a similar problem. In particular, the 97 ECU was not compatible with the 99 motor and he had to replace the ECU (very expensive). Anyone heard of something like this?
  6. 97 boxster, 99 motor installed. codes P0410 and P1411. Thanks for the responses.
  7. Does anyone have a diagram of the "Secondary Air Injection System"? I've had my check engine light come on with the codes - P0410 P1411 (Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction) Has anyone had this problem too? Please help.
