  1. IMHO that is way too much.

Is your car under warranty - if so those cracked ignition coils should be replaced free.

If it is not under warranty, all the coil packs should be replaced - there is a TSB on this.

Warranty just ran out. Surprise. I had called the dealer where the car had always been service and they gave me the quote. These parts are all over the internet for 18 dollars each.

I am mechanically inclined and have worked on many vehicles, including installing a supercharger on my new Toyota truck.

Am I thinking it's more than just removing the covers and changing a pnp part?

Has anyone documented the proceedure? Is there any service manuals floatin' around?

  2. Okay, I switched the maf's, and now I've gotten the code P0305 twice (cylinder 5 misfire?), and still getting the "shake"/vibration. Any ideas as to what this could be indicative of? Could that still indicate maf issue, or something else? I sure do appreciate all the help and input!!!

Hi everyone, newbie to the forum. 1st Porsche also, a 04' cs.

I just purchased this vehicle on an off lease. I had one of the dealers pull all the records for me and it looks like all the recall stuff had been done.

I am experiencing the same issue with a rough idle and only when it's hot. After a night of cool down, it runs fine.

I was wondering if your porblem was ever resolved and with what. I get a CEL and then it goes away. I know that I need to pull the code and should have the DuraMetric tool some time next week. Just lookin' for some insight.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.
