  1. Sounds like the plastic T-pipe underneath the motor. No worries though, Porsche usually covers this part. Otherwise it will be updated as they do the work at a wopping.......wait for it.......2000 buh :o . I just recently had the same faliure.
  2. Just had this happen to me today on my 04' . I'm bummed. Hope the extended warranty covers this. I'll keep checking up and update after a visit to the shop.
  3. The first time replacing the battery was a torture session. After having the right tool, aka "#10 triple square socket", it was a breeze. Carquest has most parts for the Cayenne, including the updated Bosch coils, that gave some of us fits. Their direct replacement battery (breather tube port style)part # is 93-72.
  4. Is it viable to add a set of turbochargers to a standard CS? Has anyone done it? Thanks for any help. Flyingdogg
  5. Thanks Loren, I found some very insightful information here. Call is in to the (2nd) dealer to plead my case. Otherwise I will buy a set of new coil packs and do them myself. Thanks again, great forum here!
  6. Warranty just ran out. Surprise. I had called the dealer where the car had always been service and they gave me the quote. These parts are all over the internet for 18 dollars each. I am mechanically inclined and have worked on many vehicles, including installing a supercharger on my new Toyota truck. Am I thinking it's more than just removing the covers and changing a pnp part? Has anyone documented the proceedure? Is there any service manuals floatin' around?
  7. Without the code(s) everything is just a wild guess. Ok, got em'. P0355 Ignition coil primary P0300 Random multiple misfire P0305 Cylinder 5 misfire I guess this kinda answers my first question. Is this a very difficult job, I wonder. The dealer wants 565 to do the job. Is this a good price? Thanks in advance for any help, Chris
  8. Hi everyone, newbie to the forum. 1st Porsche also, a 04' cs. I just purchased this vehicle on an off lease. I had one of the dealers pull all the records for me and it looks like all the recall stuff had been done. I am experiencing the same issue with a rough idle and only when it's hot. After a night of cool down, it runs fine. I was wondering if your porblem was ever resolved and with what. I get a CEL and then it goes away. I know that I need to pull the code and should have the DuraMetric tool some time next week. Just lookin' for some insight. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
