  1. I ordered two cupholders from ultimatcupholders . com . They LOOK really nicely made and I was hoping that they would be functional as well. My advice- STAY AWAY from these. They are garbage. The moldings on the 996 are not snug enough to hold these in and I experimented with 12oz soda cans with no luck. I'm glad I didn't go straight to the coffee cups. I had this style cupholder on my 03 z06 vette from another company and they were great on that car- on this car, throw them away.
  2. CONFIRMED! The Metra Wire Harness (70-1784) worked perfectly for me. I just taped off the wires for the speakers and used the rca amp inputs. Took 15 mins from start to finish of the install! NOTE** Someone had mentioned elsewhere that the constant and power lines are reversed, THIS IS CORRECT, so either change the two wires in the metra harness or just wire the yellow from the metra harness to the red for the new stereo harness and vice versa for the red to yellow.
