  1. OK, Thanks for the info. I have a stock engine except for K&N intake and Sport exaust. (2001 996) but it seems when I use the off the shelf (NOS brand Racing formula) octane boost, 10 bucks at Bennet auto, it runs better (smoother and more guts). That is why I started doing research on octane boosting. But if you think I will not see much more improvement, why hassle with chemistry !!!
  2. I have been doing some research about octane boosting and different recipies. Has anyone used this formula? 100oz of Toulene (Octane Boost) 25oz of Mineral Spirits (Cleaning Agent) 3oz of transmission fluid (lubricating agent) I found this on a rx7 site and wonder if anyone has used it on a Porsche? I have read much about the destructive properties of Toulene and guess the lubricant (tranny fluid) may help protect some of the components? Just looking for better performance and gas mileage without burning up valves etc...
  3. This is not a technical question, but does anyone know if the PORSCHE UVS SUN/HEAT SHADE MADE FOR (986) will fit my 2001 996?
