Looks like 986 and 987 use the same doors? If so, I'm wondering if I can swap my worn out door handles for the new type - and retain the original lock sylinder?
Thanks. :)

A few questions. I have a US 1999 986 that I have imported to Europe. If I order a new instrument cluster, would the dealer be able to set the correct mileage on the odometer? Or would it not be accessible because this is not a 996? Also; does anyone have the part number for KM-dials? Regular LHD, not UK. :)
I found this site:
http://dcauto.gotdns.com/illustration/index/974663190
It says (CAN) on the part numbers given for MY00-MY01 parts by whall... is this KM?

Water in the car - need help!
in 986 Series (Boxster, Boxster S)
Posted
Just got my new (to me) 1999 Boxster a week ago, and I too discovered the carpet on the drivers side was wet today when I went to install new alu pedals. I found the copmartment on the passenger side of the batery under the hood was flooded. I flushed out the drain hole and now all that water is gone, but I'm not 100% comfortable that this was the issue. The inside was dry on the passenger side. I hope the car is okey.. I'm still waiting for some papers from Porsche so I can get it approved (I've imported a US car to Norway), so I have not really had a chance to drive it much yet..
