  1. That would be terrific! I cannot wait to hear what you find out! Sylvan
  2. Please post what you find out for all of us who have the 16 bit system! I am sure we would all love to purchase a disk that is less that 7 years old! Sylvan
  3. I finally got a navigation CD! All is well with a system that is so long out of date. Thanks.
  4. The two locations mentioned: one does not work and the other, for later cars, is correct. Navtech is the correct place EXCEPT they no longer list the CD's for 2001 cars. The research on this group indicates that the CD I need is version 2001.1. The others will not work. Does anyone have a copy they want to sell or make a copy for me? I am happy to pay for it. My navigation is absolutely useless without it! Thanks! E-mail me at sylvan@sylvanwells.com.
  5. I recently purchased a used 2001 996 C4 with navigation (PCM). It did not come with the CD for New England (where I live) or for that matter, anywhere else. I have been attempting to find out which CD is appropriate for my PCM unit. The unit tells me that I am running PCM Software version 5.44. Can anyone tell me the latest CD version that will work in my car? And, if so, where is the best place to get it? Thanks for the help!! Sylvan
  6. Did you check the pump reservoir liquid level? this is the hydraulic pump that raises / lowers the entire top system. It is a common issue where after a few years the liquid level gets too low. There are very detailed instructions to do this. My 03 started acting up... and level was low... adding about 8 oz... fixed it perfectly I am new to a 996 Cabriolet. Can you please tell me where the instructions for filling the pump reservoir liquid level is? I looked in the manual and cannot find any mention of it! Thanks! Sylvan Wells
