  1. After nearly one year, I have found and purchased a set of 997 lighted door sills where the Turbo logo lights up for an excellent price. I verfied and measured and double measured and it appears to me that they will fit our cars. Does anyone know the color of the wires and where in the kick panel they are located that powers the red/white courtesy light on the door panels. I will be tapping into those wires or is there any other wires in the kick panels on each side that I can tap into that only sends power when the door is open? Thanks for the help and I will post pics when done. ...Z4MET :)
  2. Jack, Do you have the same problem that I have with my Solisto? It seems to hang up every so often when changing to the next track. Also, anything over 128 bitrate sounds like it echos when playing. I am wondering if its a desing flaw, a bad Solisto, or a bad PCM1 unit in my car. Let me know what you think. Thanks, Z4MET
  3. Hello, After owning my 2002 996 Turbo for 6 months, I finally got the PCM1 nav working after getting the proper cd's with help from this forum. My question is that the electronic display on the instrument cluster has an option that can be selected that shows arrows. When I select this, the word "navigation" shows up on the inst cluster display but thats all it does and does not show the directions. The PCM1 continues to show the directions. Should the directions also be shown on the inst cluster display when I select the nav function on the menu? If so, how do I get it working, and If not, then what is the purpose of having this option on the inst cluster display menu? Thanks for your help, Z4MET.
  4. I purchased the Solistor Pro model for my 2002 911 Turbo with factory nav. It plugs in easily in place of the Cd changer. I am happy with it and the IPOD seems to play fine, but I now have switched to using a memory stick. The only issue I have found is that some MP3's that play have a "hollow" sound while others sound excellent. After some trial and error, I found that the MP3's that have a bitrate of 128 or less are the ones that play great while those with higher bit rates are more prone to have the hollow sound. I use a memory stick that I purchased with my Solisto (from Solisto) to play my MP3's. The Solisto pro accepts a USB memory stick. The strange thing is that not ALL the songs that are higher than 128 bitrate have the problem. Some sound and play just fine. Also, one or two with the 128 bit rate still have the hollow sound. The other thing is when I advance the track to the next song; the next track will sometimes stay at 0:00 and will not play at all. I have to go back to the track that was being played then advance it again and it will start to play. I'm not sure if my nav head unit is bad or is it due to a "bug" in the Solisto. Just my experience. ...Z4MET
  5. I just installed a kit from Solisto and it works great. Go to their web site and see if it is what you are looking for. ...Z4met
  6. Does anyone know where I can buy lighted door sill plates that have the "turbo" logo lit up for my 2002 turbo? Thanks, Z4MET
  7. Hello, What are the slots on the right side of the PCM 1 unit on my 2002 Turbo? Thanks for your help. ...Z4MET
