  1. Porsche dealer told me it was the one with the central bearing (if I understood them correctly - also, supposedly a common problem on early Cayennes). I believe that is the longer rear one.
  2. I was going to have my driveshaft replaced at the local dealer but they wanted too much and wouldn't negotiate (seriously, $1,200?!). Anyone have the part number for the main cardan driveshaft so I make sure I order the correct one from Suncoast? The retail price search brings up many part #'s. Also, does anyone know if this is pretty difficult to replace? A friend owns a reputable "repair shop" but they've never worked on a Cayenne.
  3. My steering wheel radio bottons have chipped (beige interior). Anyone ever try some type of touch up paint on them since the only way to replace the buttons is to replace the airbag? What type of paint or place did you take it to? Thanks
  4. I wouldn't worry about an 04 as long as the coils and drive shaft were replaced. I've experienced both on a very low mileage 04. IMHO, no matter what MY you choose, get one with PCM. The standard CDR23 radio used on all MY's is a POS. Bad reception quality and constantly broken and I've heard of many others with similar problems. There's no way the PCM could be less reliable that the standard radio.
  5. I've taken some pictures of what to remove on the passenger side to replace the plugs and will post. Fairly simple with the only special tool being a T-55 attachment. Whole project is a DIY in 2-3 hours or so. On a side note, cracked coils do foul (most) plugs. Project cost with parts from Suncoast = $200.
