  1. 410, 1411. I got a little vacuum pump tool. At first when I pulled it down I tried to blow through it and I couldn't finally it blew out. But if I pull a vacuum it doesn't hold it. The valve's such a pain to get at I think I'm going to replace it just so I don't have to deal with getting at it again. Thanks for your reply.
  2. Should this valve be able to hold a vacuum at the vacuum line connection?
  3. Do both fans come on at the same time? Today I was out with the A/C on and noticed the driver side fan was running. Passenger side was not. Engine temp was something over 185. 98 Box if it makes any difference.
  4. I have a 98 which is running strong and a great SoCal car. I want to upgrade the shocks. All I do is blast around on the road, but I do blast, Ortega, Trabuco Canyon etc. Any way I'm thinking the PSS9's. Can I get a good ride on the road but still have the car stick?
  5. Anyone have any practical comparison information? I'm looking at the AE with the Porsche enhancement.
  6. The down shifting in manuals normal? I would always manually down shift so I didn't know what may be expected if I left it in 5th an came to a stop.
  7. Over the last few days I've noted two changes to my 98 box tip behavior. One it seems to more frequently go into "kick down" mode in D and when it does there's no indication it base gone down a gear. Secondly I noticed yesterday when in manual and coming to a stop in 5th it will shift down on it's owns I come to a stop. When I start back up it will not shift back up I have to do that manually. Are these behaviors normal? Fluid was changed about a month ago.
  8. Thanks, that's first on my list. After checking level.
  9. Hi. Starting yesterday the shifting behavior for 4th and 5th has changed. The only way I can explain is typically the shifts are "soft" now going into 4th and 5th the shifts are more abrupt. Anyone understand what I'm explaining? Any ideas what's going on. What can be done to resolve this?
  10. thanks. Other than that, which is big of course the swap will work fine with the tip?
  11. No. I'm considering some upgrades on the engine and I can obtain the programed ECU for the upgrades. So I was wondering if it would be a simple swap as far as ECU's go. I realize the "programed" part was for another engine but I think it would be very close. Engines are the same displacement etc.
  12. Does the tip transmission have it"s own computer? Or is it part of the ECU? Could I replace my tip ECU with a standard transmission ECU?
