  1. Mine are replicas....www.eurowheels.com I was a little hesitant about going with an aftermarket replica wheel....but the quality is really good, finish is great...and ive had no problems with them yet.
  2. HEY! same wheels! they look great in white as well......
  3. Wheels are 9.5 in the rear and 8.5 in the front no spacers needed......the ride quality is almost exactly the same as my 18 carerra's..I seriously can not tell a difference. And I was worried about a reduction in acceleration, but can not dectect any change from when i had the 18's on there.
  4. Spring is almost here....Put some new 19" on the BOX, and washed her up....its still a bit chilly, but warmer days are near! :D
  5. hey guys, and gals.....I ran across this ad on craigslist today...the guy is legit, and thought I'd expose it to anyone who might be interested..... http://nashville.craigslist.org/cto/992209942.html Hope it could be useful to someone!
  6. WOW....You must have hit that curb pretty hard....it seems like you have scared the ***** outta her!
  7. yeah...i figured as much.....however the replica wheels look pretty good in the pictures....I actually think Im gonna go with some 19" wheels...replica 997tt. I just like the look better then my 18 carerra's......and yes i might be selling my old wheels....they are the 18" lightweight carerra 5 spokes.....they do have a little curb rash on them, so if you are interested you can message me....or my email is summervillejr@yahoo.com
  8. I currently have an 03 boxster with the 18" carrera wheels...am thinking of going with some aftermarket 18" turbo look wheels, which have 50 and 46 mm offsets.....8"X 10"...the manufacturer says they will fit the boxster ...are there any issues I might run into when installing these.....will I need new tires, or can I just take my old tires off the 18" carrera's? thanks!
  9. this doesnt happen to be Plaza Porsche.....GRRRRRRR I had a MAJOR problem with them about 3 months ago when i purchased my new to me boxster.....scheduled a prebuy, the seller took the car in for a prebuy, as I was making my way (flying) to st louis.....they supposedly looked at it....charged my credit card 125.00 for the hour of labor. I took delivery, all looked good....the tech talked to me on the phone, told me it looked good, rms had been replaced, no leakage, only issue being a loud radiator fan......got the car back home, took it in for an oil change at my local indie...when i picked it up they ask where i had been offroading in the thing, then proceed to show me bent lower control and track arm, and a missing underpanel, as well as a bent left front wheel. I call the plaza folks, and wonder why i paid 125 for a prebuy...they say, they never did a prebuy...they only reset an airbag light, and shrug all responsibility......even though i called, set the appt for a prebuy, paid for the prebuy, and was verbally told by them (the tech) that all checked out ok......so if its plaza porsche in st louis.....you have reason to be suspicious......if its the other one, well i gotta vent, and the bad press serves plaza porsche right. thats P-L-A-Z-A P-O-R-S-C-H-E.......in st louis :D
  10. whileon this topic.....where do you get the baby seat, and how much will it set me back......should the dealer do the install? thanks also if anyone has one to sell...that they have outgrown....im looking
  11. ok after being fondled and gouged by the porsche stealer....i now think my power steering pump might being on the outs...loud loud whine...fluid level is perfect.....sooo gonna try a diy this time....first question...where is it located...second...is this a fairly easy fix for someone who is technically competent (somewhat)....ive got to get acquainted with diy repairs on my boxster...and am thinking that this might be a good start thanks for any help!
  12. They have found the problem to be a messed up engine wire harness in my boxster....went to take a look at it today, headers are off...lots of things are off...lol....anyone have any suggestions on upgrades i can take advantage of before they put this thing back together....and will a porsche dealer do stuff like this thanks
  13. im not sure the answers.......i should find out tommorow...gut says they are guessing....im at the point where i just want my car back fixed. lesson learned, ive found a good indie.
  14. update....after 1600 bucks of searching ...dealership thinks its a short in the engine wiring harness....they say they might be able to repair it....if not, wiring harness runs 1500 bucks.......where can I get parts for less then retail?
