  1. are they stock or replicas?

    where did you get them?

    they look really nice!

    aloha

    steve

Wheels are 9.5 in the rear and 8.5 in the front no spacers needed......the ride quality is almost exactly the same as my 18 carerra's..I seriously can not tell a difference. And I was worried about a reduction in acceleration, but can not dectect any change from when i had the 18's on there.

    Mine are replicas....www.eurowheels.com

I was a little hesitant about going with an aftermarket replica wheel....but the quality is really good, finish is great...and ive had no problems with them yet.

  3. I am so upset, I was in a parking lot and because of a glare did not see a curb which I went over on my front left. As I parked 5min later I saw a stream of yellow oily liquid coming out of the rear right. I am so bumped. Any idea what it is and how big of a deal we are talking about?

    thanks!

WOW....You must have hit that curb pretty hard....it seems like you have scared the ***** outta her!

  4. I'd be interested in your old wheels too if they're the 18" carrera lightweights.

Those 18" turbo wheels you're looking at are replicas, and the p-cars in those images have the real 19"s mounted.

yeah...i figured as much.....however the replica wheels look pretty good in the pictures....I actually think Im gonna go with some 19" wheels...replica 997tt. I just like the look better then my 18 carerra's......and yes i might be selling my old wheels....they are the 18" lightweight carerra 5 spokes.....they do have a little curb rash on them, so if you are interested you can message me....or my email is summervillejr@yahoo.com

  5. I currently have an 03 boxster with the 18" carrera wheels...am thinking of going with some aftermarket 18" turbo look wheels, which have 50 and 46 mm offsets.....8"X 10"...the manufacturer says they will fit the boxster ...are there any issues I might run into when installing these.....will I need new tires, or can I just take my old tires off the 18" carrera's?

    thanks!

  6. this doesnt happen to be Plaza Porsche.....GRRRRRRR

I had a MAJOR problem with them about 3 months ago when i purchased my new to me boxster.....scheduled a prebuy, the seller took the car in for a prebuy, as I was making my way (flying) to st louis.....they supposedly looked at it....charged my credit card 125.00 for the hour of labor. I took delivery, all looked good....the tech talked to me on the phone, told me it looked good, rms had been replaced, no leakage, only issue being a loud radiator fan......got the car back home, took it in for an oil change at my local indie...when i picked it up they ask where i had been offroading in the thing, then proceed to show me bent lower control and track arm, and a missing underpanel, as well as a bent left front wheel. I call the plaza folks, and wonder why i paid 125 for a prebuy...they say, they never did a prebuy...they only reset an airbag light, and shrug all responsibility......even though i called, set the appt for a prebuy, paid for the prebuy, and was verbally told by them (the tech) that all checked out ok......so if its plaza porsche in st louis.....you have reason to be suspicious......if its the other one, well i gotta vent, and the bad press serves plaza porsche right. thats P-L-A-Z-A P-O-R-S-C-H-E.......in st louis :D

  7. ok after being fondled and gouged by the porsche stealer....i now think my power steering pump might being on the outs...loud loud whine...fluid level is perfect.....sooo gonna try a diy this time....first question...where is it located...second...is this a fairly easy fix for someone who is technically competent (somewhat)....ive got to get acquainted with diy repairs on my boxster...and am thinking that this might be a good start

    thanks for any help!

  8. I will ask them tommorow...i would hope a porsche tech would think of this....and i havent a clue of what has been ruled out....all i know is the car is torn apart...driver seat out, back left wheel off, all types of wiring in the trunk out.....im starting to get concerned what this fiasco will cost me. would the pump make any type of whining noise if it were going bad? there is a slight whining noise...which I thought was power steering fluid level a little low.

it has 63 k miles on it
