  1. Hi, I wouldn't be suprised if it needs a new clutch. Some seem to wear out in that kind of mileage without any abuse. A good giveaway is the pedal going stiff as well. Get it done fairly soon, it can score the flywheel if left, these aren't cheap. John
  2. Hi Mine did exactly the same thing. Firstly I checked the Oil seperator, the bellows had failed. I canged this but it still gave oily smoke on really hard aceleration, normally when doing a fast pul away after a good run of high rev driving. Have someone follow you and check the smoke comes from the exhaust itself. Mine looked like it was coming from the rear wheel. Simple fix, it was drops of oil coming through the thread of one of the cam cover bolts and dripping onto the exhaust. I just tighteed mine a little and it stopped. Check for leaks by the exhaust first:)
  3. Hi all, I've just finished my PSE install, with the control switch. This forum has been so helpful, having read all the posts on the subject it almost felt like I was doing it for the second time. I haven't got much to add that hasn't already been covered other than if you live somewhere where they salt the roads and you use the car all year round, buy new tailpipe clamps and an assortment of m8 nuts and bolts. Mine is only 30 months old and there was hardly anything left of half the nuts! I picked up the mufflers, used, from ebay, silly I know but they were really cheap! I checked for rattles/loose baffles before buying but still have a terrible rattle in quiet mode. I put a vacuum pump onto the circuit this evening and one actuator is solid but the other is very loose, causing the flap valve to flap. The flap part is fine but I think the actuator has failed! Is this available as a separate part, or is one of the mufflers scrap? Please say it's available :)
