Hi Guys! My transmission on my car died, so i decided to go for a porsche 911, and my favorite are the one from 79 to 83 I've found a local porsche (bay area, CA) for 7500; is a 1980 targa; in fair conditions (needs some body works on the front spoiler and on the top, plus other mechanical stuff that i have to estimate before having a real idea....going to test the car today); so i wonder if you guys can help me to get more knowledge about what are the problems of these models; and maybe suggest me a fair and honest place that sell old SC and that has a good shop. After by transmission blew off my A6; i discovered that is a common thing, but was not mentioned anywhere until late 2006, when the warranty was expired, so this time i wanna be careful and get all the info about any possible issue on these models. Could you please help me? and if you have a car that you wanna sell (in good conditions of course....got already my dose of people that wanna rip me off lol) feel free to contact me; i am in south bay area :) Thanks a lot! hope to get the SC soon, so i can subscribe to the Porsche club and meet other users if this amazing car.
