  1. I just upgraded my factoy HU with an Alpine 505 with the kits that trill sells on ebay! IT WENT AWESOME. Now i need a little help on those POS dash speakers that the boxster comes with. What are the BEST 4" i can get with the depth that i have on the car....I'm looking at spending a good deal of money because o really dont think i will upgrade anything else (speakers wise). I like alpine MB quart and focal. just wanna make sure whatever i get "FITS" in my opening Thanks
  2. I just swappeed clusters, i understand that the milage is incoorect, HOWEVER i now cannot get cruise control to work...When you swap clusters do you have to REPROGRAM the cluster itself, im not talking about the odometer...Im talking about getting to sync up with the new car it is installed in? if so please give me detailed info on how to do this. I took the car to Porsche of San antonio and the connected the pwis to it and could NOT get the cruise to work. The tech said that the clustet needs to be programed for my boxster?????? Need a little help AGAIN!:)
  3. thanks, however mnaybe i'm an idiot, but what do you do with those numbers? Once you turn on the radio and see the work protected, what do you do NEXT? Thanks
  4. I replaced the cluster in my 04 boxster yesterday and my radio now says protected, it wont turn on or do jack. I have ALL the manuals that came with the car, And on the matenence maual i think it has the radio codes, can you please tell me what number they would start with and whats the process in order to get the radio working again.!!! Thanks
  5. I have already asked this before but got really vague answers, I wouldlike to move my CC from the very Top spot on the dash, to the very bottom spot, just befor the batwing, i ALREADY know that i need a tapered bezel for the ac control (but DO NOT know where to get it, tried Pelican and suncoast but the jave NO idea of what i'm talking about...TO put it very simple, I need the EXACT part number and location on where i can get the "tapered AC bezel" that will allow me to move my CC. Also need to know what can i put in the CC original place. I DO appreciate ALL your help in this forum! YOU GUYS N GIRLS ARE THE BEST!
  6. Just got finished Desnorkeling my 04 boxster and the hard plastic snorkel that i pulled out looks NOTHING like the one i have seen ALL around this site, mine is approx 5-6"long and approx 3" wide? did i screw something up or does my snorkel look diff than EVERY other snorkel ive seen on this site! PLEASE HELP!
  7. I have a 04 Boxster that i wouldlike to move the CC down to the last position (just above the shifter) and i would like to install a cubby bin where the orignal CC was. I know i need a trim piece to install the CC down low, as well as a cubby that is NOT tapered. Can this be done (I have read wires might be too short?) What are the EXACT peices i will need to do this DIY? Where can i get them? Heres a pic of waht mine looks like now.. I really want to make sure that i get the correct parts... THANK YOU!
  8. I'm new to this forum and i thank yo in advance for your patience and wealth of KNOWLEDGE! I have a silver cluster that i bought and i'm gonna swapp out the old cluster for the new silver one...Now i understand that the odomter will show the new milage not the original reading...My question is simple? Can you remove just the odometer portion of the 2 clusters and just swap them out, and #2 If this CANNOT be done, can the Dealer with the PS2 adjust the odometer... YOU GUYS AND GIRLS ARE AWESOME!!! :D
  9. i just purchased a cluster off ebay and was wondering if you swap the entire cluster do you loose your odometers orignal readings, or does the newly swapped cluster change to read the new cars actual odomter readings...I have been told that it will automaticlly change. If not i can swap the odomter portion on the clusters..THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!! 2004 Boxster with Tip (non s)
