  1. Hi All, My AirBag light just went on..What is it from? Thanks
  2. The cig lighter trick did not work. Anyone know where i can find pics of the cable in the wheel well? Is it accessible while the car is on the ground?
  3. Thanks for the response on my problem. So far i've spliced 2 12v cords to the cig lighter and battery box and got vauge lights on my dash. I also put a fuse wire leading into the "C3" fuse and got nothing..I tried to get in the wheel well for the cable and realized I need to remove the wheel. Can't do that either because my key to the lugnuts are in the trunk!!! Any other suggestions? Thx
  4. Battery charger that utilizes the cigarette lighter, or the emergency release cable. It is behind the right front wheel well liner. You just need to reach in there and pull the cable. There are a bunch of posts covering the exact location and I believe pictures also that may help. Good call! I have a portable battery charger and there is a 12 volt extension. I'll go buy a two sided 12 volt line, plug it into the cigarette lighter and hope for the best!!
  5. Just went to retrieve my '99 Boxster from storage and the battery is dead. Unfortunately, from reaction I set the alarm on. Now, the car is completely dead and the levers to open the hood & trunk do not operate. Anyone run into this problem before or have tips? Thx
  6. It is reasonably straighforward, with the only issue (and it is not a minor one) being the limited space to work and access the various clamps on the forward side of the trunk firewall. I found that using the hole in the trunk firewall through which the wiring harness is routed (immediately to the left of the coolant tank) made it easier to see and to access some of the clamps. Bleeding the air out of the coolant system is also a bit of a pain, unless you use a vacuum tool made for this purpose. Having a good set of hose clamp pliers will also make the job much easier. After you get the clamps off, you can replace them with stainless steel screw-type radiator clamps if you don't want to wrestle with the OEM clamps. Do a search here and you will find many threads covering the DIY. Regards, Maurice. Thx Maurice!
  7. 99' Boxster 5 Speed Anyone know if it's fairly easy to replace a coolant tank? Thx
  8. My Boxster has been garaged all winter in New England. I'm looking to take it out on the first week of April, do I need to get an oil change ? I only started it up a few times all winter.. Thanks
  9. Hi All, I live in the Northeast right outside Boston. I am thinking about storage for my Boxster and want to avoid storage facilities because they are too pricey. I also sought out Craigslist, but why store it at a complete stranger's house? Any quality car covers I can look into to simply keep it on my driveway? Thanks!
  10. Model and year of your car please... '99 Boxster
  11. Anyone have any thoughts/ideas on fixing a gage stuck on empty? Thx!
