  1. thanks Paul! The 997 and 996 use different connectors, was hoping someone had done the wiring and could share how to wire the passenger side weight mat, the seat belt sensors (probably not an issue as I'm hoping the 996 seat belt receptacles bolt on) and the power back.
  2. I know they are bolt compatible, I just don't know how to hook up power :)
  3. Sorry if this is covered somewhere else on the forum, I'm having a rough time searching on appropriate terms :) I have a chance to buy some 997 seats for my 996. I've noticed that the 997 seats adjust quite a bit lower and am hoping to gain some headroom in my cabrio with some 997 seats. They appear to be bolt compatible, but I'm curious about the power harness. It'd be too much to hope that they are actually pin compatible. Just curious if anyone has done this and has found a good way to get power to the 997 seats in a 996? Also, are the seat belt receptacles compatible? (IE can i use my 996 seat belt receptacles in the 997 seats?) Thank for any help!
  4. Weird! I just installed a K&N type 63 on my 2003 C2 and it seems awesome so far. Great sound, improved throttle response, and no issues whatsoever. Idles the same, and pulls hard in the high rpms. you can really hear the Variocam switchover now!
  5. Hi guys, Great site, just became a contributing member and saved myself a ton of money doing a couple of TSBs. (greasing the plastic bushing in the seat fore/aft adjustment mechanism, and greasing the door latch). Onto my next question... considering doing a suspension upgrade, and I can't find pics of the rear suspension process for a cab. What's the best way to get in, through the panel in back of the rear seats or from the top, underneath the clamshell? I looked and didn't see anything really obvious that I could remove to get in there. Also, if I'm going to do a suspension on a 5 year old car, what are some of the wear items I should think about replacing? I know the strut mounts have an updated 997 part, are those worth upgrading to if my current mounts aren't making any noise or anything? Any other wear items that are easy to do while the suspension is out? Thanks much!
