I have this navigation error once in a great while. It goes away every time after I turn off the engine and restart it again. My phone menue has the same error that Hahnmgh63 mentioned. I think it started after my mobridge BT/ iPod unit was installed so Hahn may be right about the loose wire idea.

I'm getting magnum kit put on my cayenne. The installer says I don't need to put on my old front skid plate. He says it sits too low and doesnt look very good with the kit. He adds that there isnt any openings underneath after the kit is installed. For those that have installed the kit, did you have the skid plate installed into the front bumper as well? Any info would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Hi, I've just installed lowering links for my TTS and had two questions. Firstly, can the links affect the All Wheel Drive system in any way for the long haul? I was told different tire height for example, can ruin the AWD system after 35k miles or so. This brings me to the second question. I'm curious if lowering the cayenne unevenly will affect my awd negatively. The left and right rear is the same height, however, the front passenger side is 1/4" higher than the driver's side after adjusting for the second time. This strikes me odd cause I measured the length of the links before installing them. I'm not sure if I'm measuring it right but I measure from the bottom of my center cap to the beginning of the fender. I'd appreciate it very much if someone who has installed these links can shed some light. TIA

Hi all. I just wanted to say that this forum has been an especially helpful resource to a few of the questions that have arise in the past. I've noticed that some people have asked about installing some sort of LED light to enhance the look of thier vehicle. I've done a version and would like to contribute. I apologize in advance but I did not take quite enough pics. Please ask questions if you would like. Also, some may have alternative approaches but this is how I executed mine. Tools: WIRES - positive and negative from headlights to driver's seat where main battery is located (auto store) 10mm triple square bit (auto store) electrical tape (hardware store) 3m outdoor double sided tape (hardware store) LED 12" strip (ebay - search Cayenne LED) LED auto on/off (ebay - search Cayenne LED) 1. First remove the plastic shrouds that cover the engine compartment. Then run positive and negative wires from headlights through firewal to the driver's seat. I cut a small slit into the rubber boot of the wire loom in the driver's side. I used a metal cloths hanger to fish the wires through. 2. For Turbo models only. I removed the left and right grills. They are held in place by 3m double sided tape. Use a flathead screw driver and CAREFULLY wedge between the tape layer hold the grill to the bumper. Then pull the grills from the bumper. 3. Place the LED strips in the desired spot With 3m tape on the Plastic "cover" hanging from the top of the air inlet. (I found that the tape used for the LED backing does not have sufficient bonding power) 4. Wire positive wire to posite of LED wire and negative to negative of LED wire with wire crimps. Note: make sure it splices and make contact. If not, you'd have to solder the wires together. The LED wires are very thin. Use electrical tape to secure the wire together. 5. Remove the thin plastic covers on the floor at the base of the seat. Just pull out and upward. This should expose the torque screws that will need to be loosen with the 10mm triple square bit to move the seat to get to the battery. In the back of the seat, pull the plastic rail covers off both sides to reveal the other 2 torque screws holding the seat to the frame. (Note: when rassembling, make sure you torque the screws appropriately. I am not responsible for anyone's neglect to do so.) 6. Now connect the positive wires that were ran to the seat with the positive wires on the LED auto on/off unit and likewise with the negative wires. 7. Connect the positive wire of the LED auto on/off unit with the positive side of the battery and the negative with the negative side of battery. 8. Turn on the engine to test the units and makes sure it works before putting seat back. 9. Place seat back on frame and tighten nuts (note: manufacturer suggest replacing these nuts with new ones everytime they have been loosen for safety) 10 Replace old 3m tape on grill with new and place grill back into bumper. I hope this helps some of the people that may have inquired about this. Sorry about the pics! :(

Yeah my 06 TTS does this as well and returns back to 180. It happens after I drive it hard and it returns to 180 when I stop at a traffic light. I almost freaked out lol

My 04 came with 3 buttons. It has a lock/unluck button, a trunk button, and a "panic" button. A lock and unlock button division would make 4 buttons... If you count the panic button, then yes there are 4 buttons. On the 06 models, the lock and unlock buttons are separate.

Mine doesn't make any noise either, but I've never stood outside when it's on either.

I had my dealership activate this "day time running light" feature and it is a bit disappointing to say the least. It is basically the same lights that turn on when you turn your xenon headlights on at night. Usually, DRL are the inner most lights are used. I would've preferred the high beams used as DRL on low power (when headlights are off) until you turn on your headlights, in which case then it deactivates the DRL, restoring full power to the high beams. I had a similar feature on my TL after installing a DRL module. It used the foglights on low power for the DRL until I turned on my healights. So, the point of having daytime running lights is moot if the headlights are used as DRL, esp if they are XENON imo.

UPDATE: Well, I had to call another dealership a few towns over and was told that there are 2 keys listed for my 06 tts. one with 2 buttons and the other, which I have, with 3 buttons. Thought I would share this if anyone else has an 06 tts with the same problem.

Hi all :) Excuse my ignorance, but I was wondering what the correct way to check the engine oil is? Prior to this car, I've always owned Japanese cars and would check the oil after a half to an hour of letting it sit and cool. However, in the Cayenne TT manual, it states that the car should be in "operating condition" and at least 3 minutes for the oil to return to the pan. So, is the reading after letting the vehicle sit for 3 min accurate? :huh: Is it better to let it sit overnight then take the reading? Thanks

Has it changed for 2006? I do not have this filler door release button on the driver's door!

:D Just wondering which dealerships in California have members had good experiences with? I live in the Valley, but would drive a few hours to assure that my truck gets proper service. Is it normal to have a little bit of smoke through the tailpipes when accelerating hard with the "PSM" off? I don't get it when I accelerate hard with the "PSM" on. Thanks

So is this what "running rich" means? I have black sut build up in my tailpipe as well. So this is "normal?"
