  1. Hi There, Just recently started to have a problem with the moonroof on my Cayenne S. When closing the roof the glass panels slide forward, the front guard raises, the last glass panel slides into place, the guard drops and is flush with the rest of the roof and panels... and then it raises itself a few millimetres back up again (ie not flush anymore). Any idea what the problem could be? And the solution? Thanks in advance for any advice or help given. Cheers John
  2. Hi There, New to the Forums so please forgive any newbie mistakes. I recently purchased a new 2008 Cayenne S. Due to a waiting list of around 9-12months with the main Porsche dealer, I purchased the vehicle brand new from a local dealer (the car being an import from ???) As such, the car did not come with a Middle East navigation disc. I approached the local Porsche service centre and asked for the navigation disc. They gave me a disc (USD750!!!) and off I trundled to pop it in to the DVD player under the passenger seat. However, this did not work. I didn't realise at the time (but I do know now), they gave me the wrong disc at first; they gave me the navigation disc of the PCM 3.0. So, I returned the disc and they gave me the correct PCM 2.1 but when I put that in the DVD player the system starts to read it but then the update bar stops at around 25% and then the screen goes back to the Insert Navigation DVD. When I press the "map" button, all I have is a partially loaded blue progress bar telling me that the map is loading...but it doesn't. I've looked at the Software versions screen and all except the Navigation SW have the same target and actual referenences. The Navigation software has an Actual reference (I can't recall what it was) but doesn't have an Target reference... The overall PCM SW version is listed as 4.1. A technician from Porsche gave it a quick once over (when they replaced the wrong disc) but could not determine what the problem was; he said he had never seen anything like this before. The car is now booked in for a more detailed check next week, but I'm concerned that I'm gonna be hit with the "we need to replace the whole PCM" scenario which wouldn't be that pleasing at all having just bought the vehicle. Anybody have a similar problem? What was the outcome? Any TechHeads out there that can suggest a solution? Apologies for the long winded script but I;ve been searching forums like this for days now to see if it is a common problem and hopefully find a solution. Any help appreciated. Many Thanks, J
