I pulled up the carpets. Under the driver carpet I could see salt water deposits from the winter. There was a thick black line running from Terminal 15 that had a very corroded spice to three other large black lines. I ended up replacing about 2.5 feet of wire as the wire inside had turned black, I finally found shinny copper just under the dash. I then reset the car electrical -- removed the battery cables, connected them for 15 minutes they left them unconnected for 15 minutes. Next I reset the panoramic limits (turned it to the A position and tilted the dial for five seconds then held
Thanks GSpence, sounds like a fun weekend project -- well worth it if it fixes my pano roof.
Thanks for the post! Did you have a wiring schematic or did you just start pulling up the carpet and search for the grounds?
Loren- i’m still having the same problem, does the codes above about the CAN comfort help? I did pull up the carpet under the driver and passenger areas and looked at the all of the wire bundles. Under the driver seat I had a couple corroded wires but after fixing them it did not help.
Update I updated the firmware on my iCarsoft and reran code check. Now I’m getting the following code on the panoramic: — 0470 CAN comfort in single wire operation also I’m getting the following error on the Gateway: — 1336 CAN comfort OFF would this info help in my search for the grounding problem?
If I have changed out the battery, how do I reset the electrical system? Thanks.
Hello everyone! I’ve run into some electrical problems on my '08 Turbo and I’m stumped.... I've looked through a lot of Renntech posts and don't see any thing close. First the panoramic roof and sunshade were opening and stopped about foot open. Maybe coincidence, it happened right when someone opened the door. I’ve checked practically every fuse even pulling the pano-roof control unit (back where the motors are located, and the circuit board looks okay. Then the instrument panel has started to act strange. The gear indicator shows that it is all gears at once, see the pho

mdhhorn replied to MikePavlas's topic in 9PA, 9PA1 (Cayenne, Cayenne S, Cayenne Turbo, Cayenne Turbo S)I've been receiving codes P1372, P1353 and P2404 on my 2008 Cayenne Turbo. I've tried clearing them and they keep coming back within 10miles. After running for 50-75 miles or so, the following codes appear, I assume they are caused by the first two: P0174 P0172 P0300 P0424 P0301 P0302. I took into the dealership to get it fixed. They said I needed replace my camshafts (948-105-051-14) Hydraulic Valve (948-105-304-07) and Valve Assembly (948-105-308-03) on both sides for a grand total “starting at” $7400. It sounded like it was a partial exploratory expedition. I said no, and asked for al
I can lock/unlock it with the key-into-door. I did play with it yesterday and realized I was partly incorrect. When I unlock with the fob, the driver's door unlocks then re locks but the pax door unlocks and remains unlocked. I will check out the LED and report back (this weekend). My oddments has a retro fit on it to make it bigger (long before I bought it) so I dont think it is hooked up anymore. Thanks again.
:welcome: You will likely need the Durametric software, a PST2, or PIWIS tester to see what central locking/alarm faults you have. Do you get any beeps when you lock the car with the key fob? No beeps but it has never beeped. I will need to fine a tech in my area with a tester.
When I use my key fob to unlock my '98 boxster, it unlocks then 0.5-1 second later re-locks (both doors). The same happens when I try to lock it; it locks then unlocks 0.5-1 second later. I didn't come up with anything when I searched the forums. Any thoughts?
