    If you remove the battery tray you will see the top of the sender/pump and you need a special tool to remove the round locking ring.

    You can check out www.broquet.com for more info. It's basically something that reacts with the fuel to cause better combustion. There are 2 models, 1 which you drop in the fuel tank (in-tank) and the other which you connect to the fuel line (in-line). I've personally tried both and found the in-line model to yield no noticeable effect.

    I know this all sounds too good to be true but it really works. If there's a dealer in US, give it a try. They're supposed to come with a 60 days money back guarantee. I returned my inline unit previously when it didn't give an effect :)

    My main purpose is fuel economy which it has proven itself. Power gains that I'm skeptical. Did not bother to do any dyno to prove it.

  2. I know there're a couple of aftermarket 996 Turbo look bumper for the Boxster. That probably implies that the OEM one from the 996 Turbo will not fit the Boxster else why would anyone bother making an aftermarket one, price aside.

    Just wondering has anyone done a conversion using the OEM Turbo bumper on a Boxster before? And that what is involved? I know Gembella has a kit with that including the lights done up for about $15k!!

    I like th turbo look but most if not all aftermarket bumpers are made of fiber glass. Meaning they'll probably crack in a low impact collision and not deform like the plastics ones on our original bumper :(

  3. I'm considering getting my 3.2l stroked to a 3.6l. Been sourcing around and 9ff (http://9ff.de/Englisch-htm/home-eng.htm) appears to have this kit available.

    However, it's mentioned in their website that the 3.6l is only applicable for 2003 Boxster S onwards. Mine's a 2000. I'm not aware of any significant differences between the 2 models that would lead to the 3.6l only applicable for the newer model.

    Anyone by a stroke of luck as the 9ff conversion kit installed?

    Thinking of it, there's no mention of upgraded fuel injectors in the conversion kit. A larger capacity engine will require more fuel and the injectors will probably hit 100% duty cycle on full throttle. Not a good thing I suppose.... I hope details like this is taken care of as part of their 'package' and not limited to only mechanical items like pistons, crankshaft, cams, etc....

    Singapore. Yes, but at least you guys have the sense to buy a manual when it comes to sports cars. There are absolutely no manual Boxster S in my country. Manual Boxster 2.7 yes but I'm not too keen on a 5 speed with reduced power.

    I'm just told that I've gotta change out the suspension arm as well. **** :(

  5. I know I should've got a manual if I wanted a manual to start. But there's none from where I'm from. Most people here are lazy bums who just want to leave the shifting all up to the computer.

    After having the car for 3 weeks, I'm seriously considering a 6 speed manual swap for my 2000 Boxster S.

    I know I gotta get my hands on :

    1) 6 speed gearbox itself

    2) Instrument Dashboard (not essential but I want to get rid of the D-N-R indicators)

    3) ECU

    4) Gearshift linkages assembly

    Has anyone done this before? Or any advice to someone seriously contemplating this move?

    I know the ECU needs changing but will it require a re-programming of my keys. The immobilizer works with the ECU to verify the correct codes before allowing engine start right?

    Thanks a bunch! And any pointers to get my hands on a set of the above will be much appreciated :)
