Apparently the belts were flying off and the free wheeling pulley was a fix for that purpose??

Has Anyone Knowledge Of Why Porsche Uses The Clutch Pulley On The Manual Trans Cars VS. THE SOLID PULLEY ON THE TIPTRONIC CARS ?
Has Anyone Installed The Solid Pulley On A Manual Trans Car With Any Differences ,and Or Issues With Idle Quality, Etc.?

Yes............I am replacing the alternator.
Just found out today that the 2005 997 went to a 150 amp identical unit which is upgraded from the 120 amp unit.
I see Vertex offering the newer unit for 99 and up p cars so I am assuming there is no issue putting the 150 amp unit into the 120 amp system.
Anyone have knowledge of this??
