  1. Probably a silly question, when I turn on the headlight, the buttons including the tiptronic buttons, volume control buttons..etc on the steering wheel keep flashing at 2-4Hz. is it normal? if not, what wrong with it? thks !
  2. where exactly is the crankshaft position sensor located? is it at the front right hand side near the dipstick? is it easy to replace the sensor? appreciate your help !
  3. The fuse F4 was replaced, the car intermittently cranks. "PSM failure workshop" appears on the dashboardWhen I read the code again, I got P0335 pending Crankshaft position sensor "A" circuit. What does that mean? Any relevant info is appreciated!
  4. I found the F4 fuse, it was blown. I replaced it. let's see whether it will still stall. if it doesn't stall anymore, I would like to donate to this site.
  5. Thanks Loren ! i put up another post on the engine compartment fuse box. I tried to located the fuse, but couldn't locate the fuse box. Pls help. Thx much!
  6. It is Cayenne S 2003. I followed the manual, remove the lid at engine compartment at the top left corner where I am suppose fine see the Engine Compartment fuse box. however, I only saw a rectangle box with metal cover, which does not look like a fuse box any one could pls tell me where exactly it is? Thanks in advance!
  7. I read the codes with a OBDII scanner and got a P0492 Secondary Air Injection system insufficient flow. My Cayenne S 2003 works fine overall, but it stalls at idle intermittently. It happened a few times e.g. waiting at traffic light, moving slowly at traffic jam....etc, no noticeable pattern. it stalls suddenlyonly at low speed, no problem with high speed. any fix or relevant info would be much appreciated !!
  8. Dear all, do you know whether I can use a standard OBDII scanner to read the error codes of my 2003 Cayenne S. The connector is a 16-pin one.
  9. now I found out the smell is in fact gasoline, it is probably the flange of the fuel filter is aged and not sealed very well. it is in Porsche service centre now.
  10. There is fluid film at the bottom of the vehicle. I am sure it is from my vehicle BTW, where is the powered steering fluid reservior?
  11. i had the same wet passenger floor problem before. I eventually found that the drain tube under the glove box was blocked. I used a wire to eliminate the blockage, after that the problem was fixed. the wire can be inserted at the junction between the funnel and the tube.
  12. There is some fluid leakage at the bottom of the car, location is near the passenger seat. Saw few drop of fluid on the floor, with a kerosene-like smell, do you know how to tell it brake fluid or power steering fluid or transmission fluid? the car runs well, no major issue. Advice or pointer are very welcome !! Thanks in advance.
  13. yes, need to pull the handle multiple times to open it. I saw some dirt at the lock. what parts should I be replacing? the lock? or the handle/latch?
  14. I need to pull the handle a few times before I can open the door no matter the internal or external handle. (internal handle : 5 times, external handle : 3 times) supposedly it should be just two times I need to pull the handle in order to open the door. Locking/unlocking is working fine. it is probably due to wearing of some parts. but which parts? Any relevant info would be much appreciated !
  15. Thanks ! Is the sensor located at the button (upper part) or the lock (lower part) of the window lid?
  16. rear convenience control box ? where is it? Here is more details of the symptoms: when it is closed (I'm sure it is closed properly), no warning. when I start to drive and pass some bumpy roads, it beeps and gives the warning when I stop and re-accelerate > 3km/h, it beeps again any advice is appreciated !
  17. My 03 Cayenne S : rear lid is closed as normal, but after a while, the car shows it is not closed and give a warning at the panel. what could be the problem? the sensor? where is the senor? what needs to be done to fix it? any advice or experience sharing is appreciated Thanks a million!
  18. I had the same problem before. it is something to do with the male and female connectors contact. What I did was very simple, I inserted a short toothpick above and below the femaler connectors of the target pin. this is to make the female connector gap narrower. The problem was then fixed.
  19. examined by the Porsche service centre, it is a broken wiper crank drive :-(
  20. Thanks Loren ! I found that the driver-side end of the wiper crank drive is loosen. but the pan-head screw is very inaccessible unless I take out the cover
  21. is your wiper link (where the wiper arm sits, the side wiper link, not the middle one) stay at the center of the hole when it rotates? I found that the wiper link of my 2003 Cayenne S does not sit in the centre. sound like something is loosen. what makes it sit at the center? is it a bush? any relevant info or possible solution would be much appreciated. thks in advance !
