  1. Thanks, Meant a 2003 996, lost a decade somewhere! I'll check under there. Mario
  2. Hi, My air conditioner blows hot air when it is set to use outside air. Blows icy cold when it's on re-circulate. This happened once before when the car was under warranty and I was told that a flap was slipping on the shaft. I'm assuming it's the same issue now, so, my question is; How do I access the flaps/shafts? Is this a do it yourself job? Some mechanical skills - short shifter install, restored a 65 mustang, and various maintenance tasks. Thanks, Mario
  3. I'm having the same issue with my 2003 Cab. I get cold air on recirculate, hot air otherwise. This also happened previously when the car was under warranty and they said that the flap had slipped on the shaft. I'm assuming it's the same issue now, sooo..... Are these shafts and flap accessable? Pictures? I'll use a little Loctite if I can get to the flaps/shafts. Thanks, Mario
  4. Great stuff here, Thanks!!!! Yes, many have. Do a search here for detailed descriptions. No wiring in the harness unless your car was ordered with PSE. Only one wire needs to be run from the engine to the dash. Or, some folks do not use the switch as the PSE default to always open (loud). Yes, in the TSBs for Carrera 996. Yes, you take the tips off your old mufflers and put them on the new PSE mufflers. Not usually. The switch is sold seperately but otherwise everything you need comes in the PSE kit. (again see the TSB for a list of parts)
  5. Considering installing a factory sport (switchable) exhaust system on my 2003 996 C2 cab. They seem to be available for about $1800. My questions; Anybody been there, done that? Does the OEM harness have provisions for the switches? Fishing wires through this car is not a fun task. Is there a install manual anywhere for this? Will it work with my current tips? Any extra parts needed for the install? I sent an email to the sellers asking what's included, but no response yet. Love the whole idea of switch on/switch off! Thanks, Mario
