  1. I have not experienced that with the 2011 Hybrid. However, from a stop it usually starts with electric power, then the gas jumps in if needed. The transition is very smooth. The only time I have noticed the gas engine kicking in is occasionally when cruising on the hiway. Going downhill the gas cuts off, and you "sail" along until power is again needed. Sometimes when the gas restarts you can feel a slight tug, but most of the time you would never notice unless looking at the tachometer.

Anyone have a slight delay/jerkiness when the engine starts back up using the start stop fucntion?? I have been told by dealer that this is normal and some 2011 Cayenne's and Panamera's have more or less jerkiness before the engines fires back up after letting up on the brakes. Feedback from 2011 Cayenne owners needed.

  2. Just bought a nice '06 911 C2S with 4K miles (!). It has some clear film in front of the rear fenders, I suppose to protect the paint. I have seen several references to clear film paint protectors instead of a fabric bra, and I'm thinking it might be a good idea get some more to protect the fender and trunk from those Texas gravel truck dings. Llumar and 3M seem to have good products, but I was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with, photos of, or recommendations for any of these products? Thanks!
