  1. If the wheels are OEM, the offset will be marked on the inside of the rim with the letters "ET" and then a number. That number is the offset. Also, for the H&R spacers, take a look at the "allsprings.com" website. You may find the part number in one of their listings. You can also measure the thickness of the spacer with a caliper, or even get a rough idea with a small metric ruler. Make sure that you get appropriate length bolts (longer than stock by the same measurement as the thickness of the spacers) to put your new wheels on your Boxster. Regards, Maurice. Thanks Maurice I will look into that site to try and figure out which sized spacer I have. The wheels are not factory they are aftermarket and look like HRE but may be knock offs. They have the wheel size/width but nothing about the offset and that is now going to turn into a headache!
  2. Got a pair of spacers with the rims I bought. P.O. had them on the front of his '03 911. Not sure if they are for front use only or if can use them in the rear of my car because I dont know what offset the wheels are. They are 19x10 rear and 19x8 front tires will be fitted with correct boxster spec'd tires. Anyways here's the part # of the spacers H&R4695716 MADE IN GERMANY 8/6A Any help is appreciated
  3. I had this problem when i picked up my car last week. MY97, double unlock the drivers door via key and the central locking will unlock the latches! As far as the windows its sounding like a fuse issue
  4. car drives but the gear selector seems to be malfunctining for whatever reason. There is coolant in the right bank of the engine when the spark plugs are removed
  5. First off my car is a 97 with tiptronic transmission. the day I got the car it would not go into D. When it was in Park the display on the cluster showed it was in D. When I reversed the car it was showing P, and when I put the car into Drive it flashed R and would not engage in drive. I only could select neutral, reverse and park. I bought this car with a coolanat failure so did not intend on driving it but am curious to what this could be. I have since removed the battery and trickle charged it. I now have forward gears as it engages in Drive but now Shows the car is in Park but no longer flashes R. Anybody hear or seen something like this? Thanks in advance
  6. Hi all I'm a new owner of a used MY97, currently sitting at 133,000 miles, starting to burn coolant. Awaiting the grenade so I can go 3.4
  7. Im not sure if I'm doing something wrong because I use this forum seach like I would on any other forum except on this forum it seems when I search for something, I get 28 pages and only 50 posts out of the probably 500 topics relate to what I was searching for. Please don't take any offense I just wanted to know if this could be looked at or if I am doing something wrong
  8. should you ever get so frustrated that you wanna sell it, send me a PM hehhehe There are adjustments on the hardtop, I remember searching it a few weeks ago
  9. I realize this is a super old thread but better to search than to post a repeat topic, I am doing this exact swap over this Winter except I will have both cars with me. I was going to completely strip the salvaged S and swap over every single harness and fuse box into my 97 base. glad I found a parts list
  10. I know this is an old thread but instead of creating a new topic, Where does the old plug go? Does it float around the valve train until the valve covers are pulled? Can these be injested into the combustion chamber? thanks in advance
