  1. Thanks Loren. This is a little deeper than I want to go. Going to drop it off at my dealer. :clapping:
  2. :help: 1991 964 coupe I'm guessing the release handle for the luggage compartment is cable operated. Mine seems to be broken...Is there a second way to open the luggage compartment?? Any help would be most appreciated! THANKS!
  3. Please advise when these issues are solved. I'd like to check it out. Thanks!
  4. Go over to rennlist.com Under the 996 forum someone wants to sell a 'rootwood' techquipment package. From the photos it looks to be in x-cellent condition. Good luck!
  5. Sort of on the same topic....I have a 2000 996 black/black. I just can't decide what looks best in this car....(sigh) I'm looking for opinions as to carbon fiber (real only), artic silver, or aluminum.. .. OPINIONS WELCOME!!
  6. Yes, I think it looks good as well. I have a 2000 black/black coupe, and I really can't decide if I should keep them red, or powdercoat them yellow....Any thoughts?
  7. There was one other thing I should have included with my original question...Ok they are a direct replacement fit, but are they the exact same caliper as the 996?? Red, soon to be yellow.... Thanks again Loren!
  8. 2000 996 Sorry if this topic has been covered before...my search skills are obviously a little weak, so please bear with me. Once and for all (for me anyway),...Are Boxster S brake calipers a direct bolt-on fit to a 2000 996?? Thanks! msrc2
  9. PROBLEM RESOLVED !! First, THANKS to everyone that offered their insights as to this stalling problem. Loren, you nailed this one.... Once the throttle body and everything was cleaned up, it ran great! Smooth idle and NO more dieing at red lights! Thanks again guys! msrc2
  10. Loren, 22500 miles I have been through several fresh tanks of gas. Fuel filter changed @ 20,000. Haven't touched the throttle body. Note: The car runs extremely well under power, like on the freeway or surface streets.
  11. 2000 996: HELP! I have a 2000 996 that hasn't been behaving well lately.... The sequence goes like this: engine starts (always, hot or cold). Idle surges constantly. When underway, engine runs fine (warm or cold). At my first red light the engine stalls as soon as I put in the clutch. Restart engine (easily). Drive some more...until next red/stop sign. ..Engine dies again. Drive and repeat, drive and repeat....etc. This engine will die as soon as I put in the clutch when approaching a full stop...HELP PLEASE. IDEAS???? (hasn't been to dealer yet) Thanks! msr
