  1. That's a nice thing to hear Waynew. I wonder how would EVOMS do against the X51 airfilter since I've got nice results with EVOMS on my MK5 GTI. Also...this car already has a factory exhaust (code XLF) that costed extra at the purchase of the car. I don't know what's the difference between this one and the usual one that normally comes with the car and would like to know if aftermarket header will improve this one also. As for the software I'll probably be using Superchips or Revo since a friend of mine i their dealer !
  2. What about reliability with these superchargers. I've been in the turbo world until now so I don't know anything about superchargers but what thrills me the most is the lack of lag ! Any other downsides ? Also...are there any other mods needed besides this supercharger kit (like rods, pistons...) ? How will the Tiptronic or deal with 500HP ?
  3. Thanks Phillip. Problem is, I've found this car that has only 20.000km (about 13000 miles) and the guy sells it for 85.000E while the price of purchase was 132.000E (the car has almost every possible option on it). The guy also added the Rinspeed body kit and 20" rims. I'm not doing drag races but rather prefer mountain roads or circuits. If a supercharger will get me to 500Hp, this would be more than enough for me. I'm buying this car mostly for the great difference in price and the looks and if I can add some power it would be nice ! The old 996 has an uglier interior and besides, in my country I can't find to many for sale so I have to buy one from Germany and the taxes when bringing the car in my country would be around 20.000E !
  4. Hello guys, I'm about to buy a 997 4s (355HP) from a friend. The car is amazing from all aspects but it's not faster than my modded mk5 GTI (350HP, 450NM and 1500KG). From what I've read in a hurry there are 2 possibilities : - Intake + chip (the guy added the OEM sport exhaust system option when he bought the car - XLF code...don't know if this helps) - Supercharger or turbocharger (here the consensus seem to be with TPC and VF-Engineering, both being around 12.000$) Now, for the beginning I'd like to go with the first option but don't know the results. Most tuners state 20-30HP and 20-30NM increase with software only. K&N also states 20HP with their intake system (seems a little too much here though). Where do you think I could reach with a good intake and software with the mention of the already added sport exaust option ? Can you also recommend a good aftermarket filter ?
