  1. I imagine this is what it is doing. I don't recall the message but it was related to the headlight leveling. They hardly ever stop moving and have a fairly significant movement during movement ever couple of seconds. I just don't remember it being like this a couple months ago.
  2. Good day, I have a 2006 Cayenne S Titanium. You know how when you first turn the vehicle on the headlights pan up and then back down? I have noticed the headlights seem to be slightly moving up and down quite frequently on their own throughout normal use. Not as far as they do when you first turn it on. I did get some error message about this the first day or two it happened but then it went away. What to do? Steve
  3. Alright... I really need to get the front plate mounted but I am still a bit nervous. It just seems like the one the dealer gave me sticks out way too far off the bumper. It made me think that maybe they gave me the wrong one. I tried looking at several pictures of ones for sale on line and it also makes me think its sticking out too far. It has some stand offs that connect to the bumper and it looks like there will be almost a two inch gap between the bumper and the rear edge of the plate holder that will be exposed. This can't be right. There is a number stamped into the back: 7L5 807 287 P Can anyone confirm this is indeed the correct front plate mounting kit for a 2006 Cayenne S? Any other suggestions on how to mount it to ensure it looks proper and is correctly positioned? Thanks, Steve
  4. Good afternoon, I recently bought a 2006 Cayenne S in PA and live in MD. MD requires front license plates and PA does not. The dealer shipped me the kit. It seems like it's fairly simply but I'm hoping someone might have a template or some advice before I go about drilling screws into the front bumper. Thanks, Steve
  5. I just ordered the Black Carbon Fiber kit. I have the Black Cayenne S Titanium Edition with Camel/Black and aluminum trim kit installed. They have a sale going on right for 10% off anything if you enter promotion code 555. The whole kit came out to $281.07 no tax or shipping. I'll let you know how it comes out.
  6. Did you end up installing this kit? If so, how did it come out? It seems really inexpensive. $188.10? How good is the quality.
  7. I wouldn't have thought of doing this but now I'm all interested. Can you guys suggest where to buy "kit" and replacement "Porsche" decals? Couldn't have cost very much to pull off did it?
  8. And yet another note... The picture where they are showing the exhaust upgrades are zoomed in on the Sport Design rear under body section. The dealer confirmed for me that this is what it will look like since my Titanium edition already has the four tip exhaust.
  9. I too was looking for decent pics and had a hard time. I found this Tequipment catalog on line that has some decent ones. It doesn't say anywhere in it what years the catalog is for. I checked with my local dealer and they said this is indeed for the Gen 1 vehicles. I am probably going to add the front and back set to my 2006 Cayenne S Titanium since this special edition came with the side skirts on it already. I found the link below for a MD dealer who has a pretty good on line catalog. They don't have the pricing on line for the Gen 1 kit but salesperson told me he will honor the same pricing they show on line for the Gen 2 kit. I can get his name for you if you're interested. He checking for me on Monday but the catalog and his parts list says you can order it already painted to match your vehicle. If that's the deal... I'm in. I also found TSB area that someone has posted the installation manual. That's going to be my reading for the night... http://valleymotorsporsche.oemdealer.com/ Have fun
  10. I've surfed around as well trying to determine which of the three products would be the best. Some people are saying the MoBridge and some are saying Nav-TV. Almost all are saying to shy away from the Dennison. The posts I found that were stating there were some issues with the NavTV units were about a year old and they've released a couple upgrades since then which supposedly solve those issues. If anyone has knowledge of all three and would like to weigh in to help it would be appreciated.
  11. Thanks again for your help on the cornering and tail light. I jumped in to work on installing the NAV-TV stuff myself. I got a little ways in and I'm sure I can probably do it but the local guy quoted me only 2 - 3 hours to get it done... I've got an appointment for next Thu. I let you all know how it turns out.
  12. I got the roof rails for $618.62 and the matching roof strips for $252.49. I found this link http://valleymotorsporsche.oemdealer.com/ for a Porsche dealer who has a pretty good on line accessory store and just so happens to be the second closest one to me. If anyone else knows of a better place to shop, please share.
  13. Thanks for the reply... Thank god for the user manual download. I resolved the cornering light. It is pretty **** cool how the entire headlight assembly slides out. I was able to figure out how to get the tail light out. It had about a half cup of water in it. I can't tell if it had separated across the top seam. The back cover doesn't even come close to seating properly. I was able to put the tail light in the oven on 200 for about 15 - 20 minutes and it got all of the water out. It seems I still need to go back to the dealer and have them get me a new lighting unit. But... at least I don't have to look at the stupid light as is for the next few days.
  14. Happy New Year, This is the first time I've used this site so please forgive with me if I get a little overzealous. I finally did it... A couple weeks back I picked up a used 2006 Cayenne S Titanium Black with tan and black interior. Wow!!! It was truly a deal I couldn't pass up and it's what I wanted when I got my last car but wasn't willing to pay the new pricing. So I have a couple minor issues I'm trying to determine and also plan to do a few upgrades over the next couple of weeks. I learned a bit surfing the posts but the search feature isn't returning the results on some of the things I'm trying to determine. Issues: The driver's side rear tail light has quite a bit of condensation in it and the passengers a little bit. The dealer told me it would simply evaporate if I leaved the lights on. Well, that was a fib. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to dry these out with little pain? Also, I can't quite tell but it seemed when I got it washed this past weekend that there were fresh streams of water in the driver's side. Second is I get a message when I turn on the head lights that says "check left cornering light". After reading the posts I learned my car has some sort of lights that evidently pivot while you are driving and they are different from the standard headlights. (it was missing the main owner's manual) I don't really understand what or where these are. I'm used to changing headlights bulbs in my older cars. Can anyone point me at how to tell which bulb it is, where to get the bulb and a general idea of how to replace. Upgrades: I think I landed on going with the NAV-TV Opi-P iPod connector and NAV-TV Tooki-P Bluetooth adaptor. (I believe my Cayenne already has their Sirius kit as I do have satellite radio but am not totally sure how to verify who's it is.) I've installed other OEM integration systems in previous cars so I'm going to give it a try myself tomorrow. Any one advise against trying it myself? Also, does anyone have the backup camera and or the video input from them that allows video to be played on the Nav screen? I'm not really sure I have any need for them but it sounds really cool and might be fun. I ordered the roof rails, roof protection strips and cargo mat today. I think I remember having found a post where someone already installed the roof rails themselves so I don't think I'm scared to do this myself. (Interesting how when I looked up the parts pricing on the dealer's web site that the price the parts guy quoted me for each item was 50% higher than their web site. As soon as I mentioned it he lowered the prices on everything with no push back. A bit scary) However, the major thing I'm contemplating is adding the Sport Design Package to add some extra sportiness to the body styling. The dealer told me the Titanium edition already has the side skirts so I only need the front and back which was quoted right at 2K. The catalog shows that you can order these in the color of your vehicle but he's not totally sure. I am also thinking of putting the body side moulding on when/if I do this. Anyone have these options? Any idea how much I should expect to pay for installation on these. Whew!!! I think I better cut up my credit card before I go totally nuts. Thanks, Steve
