I think wross996TT was asking more whether the emergency brake light comes on. It is that switch that tells the Cab top control unit it is okay to move the top.
but the cover moves up...its just that the canvas top doesnt want to come out

is the emergency brake engaged? it could be the emergency brake sensor...
yes...the car wouldnt stay in place if it wasnt engaged. :P

hi,
my aunts 1999 porsche carrera has a problem
as it says in the subject...the convertible top is stuck down....when she tried to bring it up, the cover goes up, but not the actual top.
we already checked the fuses and that doesnt do anything
there is no clicking of any sort
any help would be greatly appreciated!
i was told to post here and talk to loren by porschedoc from germanautoforums.com
