Definitely not for me and, depending on what you believe, as a result of the takeover by Volkswagen, it will die in 2018. That said, Porsche's major growth area is China so maybe they'll like it over there. I'd be more interested in a short wheelbase 2 door version, a latter day 928. I'm visiting the plant where they are made in Leipzig next month, so it will be interesting to see how busy they are.
The dealer is telling me that removing the wheels with the new centre hub lock is a dealer-only operation. They would, wouldn't they? As far as I can see, the car comes with the "socket" to fit over the centre hub nut but you need a huge torque-wrench to move it or a torque multiplier which does not come with the car. Any one know where to source such a beast?
I used an EZ-Top hoist imported from the US for an old-style SL I used to have. Worked perfectly and was very useful in getting the hardtop out of the way.
blueSL posted a topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)2003 C4S, no sunroof. I have three small dents in my roof near the windshield from flying debris which a dent removal company say they can fix if they can get to them. The roof liner seems to be clipped along the front edge but then goes behind the A pillar trim pieces. How easy is it to partially remove all this stuff to gain access and is there a wad of insulating material to get in the way? I can see instructions on other posts for a MY 99, is this the same for my later car?
