Thank you for your replies. Took it to the dealer and it turned out to be the fuel ventilation line $370 and change (not covered by Continental warranty) and also the coils were bad and causing it to idle rough, as well as a bad motor mount (these items were covered by Continental warranty). Finally, it's starting to pay off... Regards, Andy

I had same codes and symptom. Turned out to be purge valve faulty. If your gas cap is good and no obvious leaks I'd look at the fuel tank ventilation system. Good luck. Thank you, I tried the gas cap and that wasn't it. When I called the dealer for a purge valve they said that it didn't have a purge valve and was more or less a metal piece of tubing that needed to get soldered into place to replace a faulty plastic piece. I'm also debating wheather I should do the 02 sensors??

Hi, this is my second post here. My name is Andy and I own a 2004 Cayenne Turbo. I'm a big fan of P cars as I'm sure we all are. My Cayenne has been great over the last year of ownership, this thing is a beast!! It's good for business and family, but recently I had trouble starting after fueling up. The engine was turned off and key removed from ignition as it always is during fill ups. When I tried to start it, it just cranked. After a few tries it finally started and was idling rough. This only happens after I fill up with gas (second time this week). I have a Vag Com cable from my previous Audis and came up with three engine fault codes p0441, p2187, and p2189. I found the explanations of each code on this site, but need to know how to go about fixing these. I'm mechanically inclined and unfortunately only have an aftermarket warranty that never covers any needed repairs. Thank you in advance for any help! Regards, Andy

Hi, I'm new here and this post caught my eye. I had the same problem a few months ago. It was indeed the driveshaft, the technician was nice enough to take me in and show me that the older (original 2004) driveshaft was poorly engineered. He went on to say that the part number no longer existed and has been replaced with a new part number of an new and improved driveshaft, the same as what is on newer model Cayennes. Good luck!
