  1. 986.551.981.01 Stainless steel door entry guard with boxster logo

I have bought a set of 986.551.981.01, but I am surprised they don´t cover the whole door entry.

I have seen a carbon door entry guards longer which cover whole door entry (in Ebay)

Are there two different versions?? long and short??? Part number??? :help:

    Best regards.

  2. All the plastic window tops are the same.

The liner first came out for model year 2000 just for the S. Then for model year 2001 the 2.7 also got the liner. The mechanic at my dealer that does all the top replacements showed me the extra part that is needed for the liner but I did not take a picture. I asked if the liner could be retrofitted to a 2.5 and he said yes, with that part. I did not ask for details since I had no personal interest in a liner for my 2.5.

    What is "liner"???

  3. 955 044 200 05 FUEL CAP TETHER $6.83 (all prices US Retail as of Dec 2005)

    996 201 241 03 Fuel cap with clip $6.84

I need part number of rear spoiler 986 MY99

    Thanks Loren!

  4. Thanks that is a very good info.

How is the adeseive from the old logo best removed?

Will a solvent damage the paint?

Most folks use 3M adhesive remover, a little dental floss and in rare cases a little heat from a hair dryer. Keep the heat away from the 3M adhesive remover!

Where to buy 3M ADHESIVE REMOVER? I cant find it here.

However I found a professional liquid adhesive remover, but I am not sure is suitable because it could damage paint.

I have bought HG ADHESIVE REMOVER, I just hope it works !! It seems to be similar to 3M ADHESIVE REMOVER. What do you think?

  6. I need to know which disk (or file) is necessary to update version 3.85 to 5.43 when old pcm1 8 bits is replaced by new pcm1 16bits.

    That´s all

    :cursing:

If you have done a 16 bit upgrade did you not get the disc's that accompany the cd readed - I always understood that to upgrade to 16 from 8  the cd reader would need to be replaced because of the extended memory needed.  I was also of the impression that when obtaining a new cd reader the unit would come with the necessary disc's and that those disks contain the v5.43 software - I did plan on doing the upgrade myself but was put off by the cost. -  I may be wrong though?

    RB

    Regards.

    Any help?

Cd unit reader doesn´t contain with disks.
