  1. Well, my dealer is the only authorized service center in the country so they should have the proper tester. However, they couldn't find the option you are suggesting in it. Are you sure there should be one?
  2. I went to my local Porsche dealer to explore whether the stock CDR23 in my Cayenne MY05 could be removed without causing problems or not. I was somewhat disappointed to hear that removing the radio causes the diagnostics system to report various error codes. Isn't there really any way to remove the radio without this problem?
  3. Has anyone installed a DIN2 or DIN1 sized aftermarket radio to Cayenne? I'm concerned about the faceplate as the standard mount place is wider than DIN. Does anyone happen to manufacture a faceplate to accommodate a DIN2 player to the mounting hole?
  4. I'm no MOST-newbie. ;) MOST may be a wonderful innovation in theory but it is currently supported by a limited amount of car manufacturers and an even more limited amount of third-party automotive audio equipment manufacturers. This leads to an availability blackhole of aftermarket devices to utilize it. I'm actually not aware of any major aftermarket car-audio device supplier who would have a MOST equipped device for sale. Hence, I believe for us audio enthusiasts who are not happy with the options offered by car manufacturers, the only viable choice is still to rewire with good ole' copper. So, I'm still hoping to hear answers to my original questions. :D
  5. Dear Valued List Members, :D I am considering building a customized audio system to my Cayenne S MY05, which now has the standard cd/radio. I have a few sets of questions I would love to get answers to. 1) I would like to include a dash-mounted DIN2 sized DVD-player (eg. Kenwood DDX7025)). First of all, is it possible to remove the standard radio/cd completely without causing trouble to the CAN bus functionality? How about wiring the new head unit, can I use any inbuilt wiring? Will a standard DIN2 faced player fit seamlessly into the dashboard or does perfect fit require customization? Anything else I should know? 2) I would love to include a second video display to the rear passangers. Ceiling(middle) or headrest, which would you recommend and why? 3) I would also love to have a Playstation PS2. TechArt even has an installation kit for this. Any other options available? Anything I should consider regarding PS installation? 4) Are the standard Blaupunkt speakers wired with normal speaker wire to the back of the radio/cd? What's the level of quality of the standard speakers? Can the speakers be replaced easily with higher quality ones? Thank you in advance to all who respond! -Hans (Finland)
