  1. When I get it to my barn, where do I find the engine number that will be acsessable? Thanks Arb.
  2. Hi, I'm a new guy here. I just made the buy to restore a 1974 911 Carrera. I had ben trying to buy this particular car for over 10 years. I go to pick it up next week. The car has been sitting for probably close to 15 years. The car was running when parked. It was parked windows up and doors locked, key in ignition. There has to be at least 3" of Peacock poop all over the car. Looked to be in ok condition, last I saw it. Almost 1 year ago. The freind I purchased it from would not let the car go after my repeated offers, that I considered fair. Whenever, I would make an offer he would tell me that it had some rare type engine RSR or something of the sort. Thus rejecting my offers as to low. I guess he got tired of me asking and threw me a bone (I hope it was a bone) The car was purchased in Europe and shipped to the US in ''''83 or 'He said the only thing that was wrong with the car when he locked the key's in it, was it had a skip between 2nd and 3rd gear. The Porsche House in Ft. Worth could not fix it. I'll need to check that one for sure. After reading some of the post here, questions are popping. Here are 3. Look forward to your awnsers. Thanks in advance. If car was purchased and shipped to US. Would there be the emmission mods unlike the '73's. What could be so rare about this car, that it took 10 years for him to give in to me? Does it sound like I got burned by my persistance to purchase the car?
