  1. Never really heard about pulling the DME relay...but it sounds like a good idea. Any negatives to doing this? I'm going to be pulling my 993T out of storage in a month or so and of course thinking about stuff just like this. I realize this is an old post but pulling the DME relay is good to do after log periods of storage or even after you change the oil. I turn the engine over until I get at least 2 bar and then put the relay back in and fire it up. Works well. An oldie but goodie! Getting ready to do exactly that this wekend! :-)
  2. Lo and behold....I started the Twin up two days ago (fired right up with NO smoke after 4 months storage) and whaddya know...the courtesy light above the ignition switch went out! Cycled the car on and off a couple times during the day and it's stayed out. I think it might have been light while I had the hood open charging the battery...duhhh!!
  3. Hey All, Quick question for for ya. Suddenly, for some reason, the small courtesy light above the ignition switch has decided to stay on in my 993T (of course it killed the battery). I went through a door lock-unlock cycle a few times, opened and closed the doors & hood a few times, etc. to no avail. Also, while attempting to charge the battery with the usual battery charger, the green "fully charged" light on the charger meter started to blink quickly for no discernible reason. I replaced it with a second, identical charger...which did the exact same thing. Is there a circuit open, or something like that?
  4. Interesting that there is a separate oil filter of the valve train oil supply.I knew about the two filters because I've changed them myself...but didn't know what the smaller filter was for.
