I just replaced the retractable spoiler with a fixed wing on my 2001 C2 Cab. I heard that there is a hack to the 2 micro switches that used to be in the retractable spoiler motor that will keep my spoiler error light off without having to mess with jumping connectors in the main harness or by replacing the harness. Is anyone aware of this info? Any help or info is appreciated.

I had a rattle in the door of my C2 Cab as well. Drove me crazy! After many attempts, I found the screws that hold the subwoofer box in the door coming loose. There is 4 phillips head screws that hold the sub box in the door and all of them were a turn or two loose. Rattle GONE! Hope this helps.

Hi All
I'm thinking of buying a used hardtop for my 02 996 C4 Cab. It did not come with a hardtop from the dealer. What should I be aware of? Will there be any additional parts that I will require? Is installing a DIY or will I need to bring it in to a dealership? Any advice from the members of this board would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I know this is an old post but I have an Artic silver hard top from an 01 C2 Cab I just purchased. It's not perfect, it has a blemish on the top in the center. I am using this vehicle as a seasonal car so I don't plan on using the top. I am located in upstate NY. PM me if you are interested.

I am looking at purchasing GT3 MK1 (10 spoke Sport Design) wheels for my ´99 996 Narrow body car and need to know if they are going to fit?
I understand that the GT3 MK1 is also a narrow body car so assume that there would be no problem?
The wheels are:
8.5J x 18 - ET45 front. with 225/40s
10J x 18 - ET40 rear. with 265/45s
Unfortunately I will not be able to try them on the car before collection/purchase so any clear guidance would be appreciated.
I have GT3 wheels on my 2001 C2 Cab (narrow body) and have no problems with clearance.

Yellow/Brown is front left minus (-)
Yellow is front left plus (+)
Thanks for the reply. So for the other speakers, the one with the stripe is generally the minus (-)?

I have the Fasbspeed exhaust in my 2001 C2 Cab and my wife won't ride in it because the drone is severe in the 2600-3400 rpm range. Everyone has to make choices....

The 6 speed model is far more prone to RMS leaks due to the trans mounting.
