  1. Any recommendations for a huber optik installer in the LA area?
  2. I was referring to the metal clips or flanges that anchor the speaker grill in the door panel. I don't know of a good way to take those off without bending or breaking them. I'll try Rob's suggestion to contact the guy at Car Innovations. Thanks for the reference, Rob.
  3. Does anyone know how to take out the door panel speaker grills without going through the whole "Door Panel DIY" instructions? It's not clear in those directions how to take off the flanges holding the grill in place without destroying the flange pieces or breaking the pegs which anchor the grill in place. Thanks in advance.
  4. Thanks for the reply, Don. I already tried to remove the defroster panels without taking off those pillars, and I really damaged the lower end of those pillars. Looking at the way the hook on the defroster cover goes underneath the the pillar, I just don't see how anyone can take the defroster panel out without taking off the pillar first. I just wish I knew how to do it before I tried it. Well, I guess this gives me the opportunity to experiment with dismounting the pillars since I will need replacements now anyway. I'll keep you posted.
  5. Just wondering if anyone had directions on how to take off the pillars located on either side of the dash, along the front windshield?
  6. I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to this question...Does the RoW M030 suspension off of a 2002 C2 cab fit on a 1999 C2 cab? I realize that there may be some spring rate differences given the fact that the MY02 Pcars are slightly heavier, but will the struts and springs physically bolt into and fit appropriately on a 1999 C2 cab? Thanks in advance.
  7. I recently took my MY02 C2 cab in for its 3rd oil leak, which again appears to be coming from the IMS seal (I'm told that the RMS is unaffected). The problem, however, appears to be more complex than expected. There is a ball bearing within the crankshaft casing which was likely to be defective from the time of initial production. The remedy now is to replace the entire crank shaft structure which abutts the IMS. This sounds like an entirely new problem that I have never heard of. I was wondering if anyone has ever had this problem? If so, was it a permanent fix?
  8. Just wondering if anyone has any written and/or illustrated instructions on removing the upper center console, the instrument cluster surround, the hazard surround, and side airvents w/ windshield defroster lining + rose? I'm planning to paint all these pieces, but I have had no experience w/ removing these items. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
