  1. How do you tighten the owners manual tray under the steering column? Mine is squeaking, but it looks to be riveted. I checked Renntech site and my workshop manual, but I can't find it. MY99 Coupe Thanks! Joe
  2. Thanks! I must have Space Grey leather/leatherette (B51) with Granite Grey (D05) on the rear console. Scrutinizing the PET showed that only the Space Gray was available for my year on several of the parts, so that must be it. I pulled the rear seat bottom, handbrake trim, trim beside the shifter and the ash tray - but I could not find any of these codes on them, just the part numbers. <_< Example: Ash Tray 996.552.595 Rear Seat Bottom 996.522.711.00 >PUR< The handbrake lever and tip shifter are dark and worn down. Leather cleaner just gets down to the bare leather, so I wanted to attempt repainting it, thinking if I ruin it, I'll just break down and buy a replacement. Here's my interior.... Also anyone tried the leather kit on this site? http://www.leatherworldtech.com/AutoColorC...px?make=Porsche The Granite Grey on the console is scraped and chipped, so I wanted to paint it also. Thanks to all!
  3. Bought the car used and I want to replace some interior parts. Where can I find the interior color code - it's light to medium gray, but there are lots of different grays out there. I did the VIN decoder and the options decoders and it doesn't seem tell me. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
  4. I have a 99 996 and the driver's side window rubs the rear glass at the top, but only when you open it, right after the window drops 1/4. I thought it was the window adjustment and played around with both brass torx nuts in the door, but that's not it. I went as far tight and loose with those and it didn't change (eventually dropped one of the adjustment screws into the door and had to remove the panel to get it out  ) I noticed that when closing the door it goes up about 1mm when closing (down on opening) that is causing the windows to hit. Does anyone know how to adjust the door? I know adjusting the strike plate height is not the fix. Thanks!
