  1. Just thought of this and I'm sure someone can answer this, I think the DME has to have something reprogramed or set so that the starter interrupt works.
  2. Does $500.00 sound fair guys? I replaced the 2.5L with a 3.4L and kept all the extra parts :) The DME for 97 has it's own part number I don't know if there is a difference in the newer ones. It came out of the car working fine. My car is a manual and came from the factory with cruise, OBC, TC and alarm not sure if DME has anything to do with TC or the alarm. The car had a little over 60k miles on it when we switched the motor. I'll guarantee it's not DOA or even do an escrow type deal through one of the reputable forum members if you desire.
  3. If it turns out you need a new DME, I still have my 97 Boxster DME I could sell you.
  4. Good deal, Any info on what wheel carriers will fit I'm guessing an S but again just guessing or any details as to what machining would be needed I just happen to own a pattern shop. I would rather have a nice solid servicable solution rather than a bunch of adaptors and whatnot. Also would the current rear brakes be fine with just upgrading the fronts?
  5. I have a 97 Boxster with factory option 030 sport suspension, the motor has been replaced with a 99 3.4L from a 996. I would like wider wheels on the rear I'm going through rubber quicker than I like. I would just like to verify that the wheels off of a 993 turbo will fit this car. 10x18 et40 rear 8x18 et52 front I have read that you can and can't put 18's on 97. From what I have gathered this has something to do with a weak frame not a physical fitment problem. I'm not taking this car to DE or anything serious, just fun driving to and from work so a small risk of bending something would be acceptable to me. Next I'd like to upgrade the brakes with the most feasible swapping options from other porsches. If i have to paint the calipers to match it is no biggie just looking for your guys opinions on something larger but balanced and maintainance friendly.
