  1. Thank you Loren. I did some searching and did not find a direct answer. As always, thanks for your help. It is much appreciated.
  2. Car is a 2003 Porsche 996 C4s. I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with the Headlight not sitting tightly once tightened? I hit a bump the other night and the driver side headlight went out. Upon inspection I very softly touched the light and if flicked back on. Any ideas? I did some searching and could not find out if anyone had similar issues. It seems like the "bar" that holds the headlight in has slightly worn the plastic on the headlight housing, thus not allowing it stay in the connector, however I just wanted to make sure I was not missing anything. Thanks! :D
  3. I would also recommend the cap. If it is bad you will probably notice some moisture around the rim of the expansion tank. Call Sunset Porsche (sponsored vendor on here) and maybe replace the cap. The one I just got solved my problem, and it ends in 03. Also, check for intermix as mentioned. Good Luck!
  4. Update: Cap is installed and after about 60-70 miles of driving no change in Coolant Level! Yippie! Thanks everyone!!!
  5. Usually a bad cap sweats or leaks. Look for residue on the top of the coolant tank. Thank you Loren. I did noticed some moisture and residue around the threads of the cap. I will update once the new cap is installed and car is driven. Thanks again.
  6. Update: The cap does end in 01...Don't know what I am looking at. However, it seems damp on the inside of the cap. What are the symptoms of a bad cap? I have ordered a new one that should be here tomorrow. Thanks!
  7. As of now I see no sign that moisture has made its way to the engine case...I assume this is the whitish look that I have seen pictures of? Also the cap ends in 30 and not 01. Thanks for the quick responses! I've seen 00, 01, 02 and 03 part number caps but not a 30. Can you take a pic? Loren, Thanks for the help. I will take a pic tomorrow and post it. Thanks for the help as always...

  9. Currently my car 2003 c4s is using a little coolant. Some background... - I have searched the forums and found it could be a tank issue. - My cap ends in 30. Is this one that needs replaced? - The car runs just a tick over 180 under normal driving, I assume this is normal? Never has gotten out of the middle area, even on a 94 degree day. - The level when needing filled is slightly below the min level on the tank and never gets lower than this point. Any help or suggestions would be greatly apperciated. As stated, the car runs and performs perfectly...no issues. Also, I have no visiable leaks under the car. I have checked it after every drive. Thanks for your help in advance. :D
  10. THanks for the props on the car...Just an update got everything at suitable levels and drove the car 200+ miles with no leaks or oil consumption. I had a fresh oil change done and the mystery leak was handled by tightening the bolt. I love it here on Renn Tech....Everyone is so helpful!
  11. Update: Took the car to GT Performance and what a great shop! Gennady and his son, Egor, both race and were extremely helpful with my car and had me out in the shop to show me everything on the car. They were extremely accomadating and very helpful with some of the questions that I had. I would recommend them to anyone in the Baltimore area! Thanks for the ideas on where to go.
  12. Appears to be that a bolt was slightly loose. Tightened it up and all seems fine now...Thanks for the responses... :D
  13. I just picked up my 2003 C4s with 82k on it and when I went to my garage tonight I noticed a small wet spot under the car. The leak "appears" to be coming from a 5 mm allen bolt on the rear portion of the engine. It is very wet and it is directly above the wet spot? Any ideas...been searching but not much luck thus far. Any help is greatly apperciated. Thank you.
  14. I was curious as to what wheel sizes came on the 08 997 Turbo cars. I know it was a 19" but what is the width on the front and rear, also what is the offset? Thanks in advance.
